Chris Brink, bass player for The Museum, shares his favorite things about Christmas.  By the way, it’s not surprising that he’s asking Santa for a new bass guitar.  🙂 For more about The Museum, check out www.themuseummusic.com

What’s your favorite? —

– Christmas food: Peppermint Bark
– Christmas tradition: Every year, my family (which includes my parents, 3 brothers/sisters and their 5 kids) all sit around while my dad reads Luke’s account of Christ’s birth.
– Christmas album: Manheim Steamroller. My mom has put one of their Christmas CDs every year at Christmas time ever since I can remember. Brings back good memories.
– Christmas movie: I’m caught between Elf and the classic: A Christmas Story. I think I’d have to go with A Christmas Story here, just because it’s a classic.

What do you enjoy most about Christmas?

I enjoy the fact that my entire family gets together. It’s a rare thing for all of us to get together at the same time, so it’s very special when we all get to be in the place for a day or so.

Share one of your favorite Christmas memories.

I don’t have one specific instance that just sticks out to me over any others, probably because my family does the same thing EVERY year.  But the first Christmas that my wife and I were married was definitely an awesome time. It was nice to just be able to do the little things. Like putting up the tree together, and hanging up the few ornaments we had. Usually that stuff isn’t something I consider to be a highlight, but being able to do that with my wife for the first time was pretty special.

Are you the type of person who likes to peek at your presents before Christmas morning, or do you hold out?

No way! I need the build of not knowing what I’ll get. This was especially true when I was a kid. We get more presents as kids, or maybe we just look forward to them more. So, I didn’t want to ruin the surprise of it.

What do you want for Christmas this year?

I would love a new bass guitar this year. Preferably a Reverend. hint hint 🙂

What are you most looking forward to this Christmas?

I’m probably most excited that my wife and I will finally be getting moved into our house around Christmas time. We’ve been in the process of buying a house now for the past 2 and a half months, and are finally about to close on it. This will be our first Christmas as homeowners, so my wife and I both are VERY excited about that!

What are your plans for 2012?

The Museum is working on a new record, and I am very excited for everyone to hear that.
