“No Turning Back”
Fans got a taste of Brandon Heath’s upcoming album last week when he released a new song to radio along with an official lyric video (see below). “No Turning Back” takes a worshipful direction, recalling the first time Heath met Christ at a YoungLife camp in Malibu as a 16-year-old kid. The melody infuses a subtle dose of the country Heath heavily introduced on Blue Mountain with a pop center. All Sons & Daughters, who co-wrote the cut with the award-winning songwriter, lend their vocals to the track, easily inviting listeners to sing along. Simple lyrics make the chorus instantly memorable. Although “Jesus in Disguise” and “Love Does” saw some traction at radio, Blue Mountain failed to produce a No. 1 hit following a string of radio success for the singer-songwriter. We predict “No Turning Back” will quickly propel Heath back to the top of the charts. It’s a strong lead single and the title track from Heath’s forthcoming album produced by Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Dave Barnes, Matt Wertz). While no official release date has been announced yet, look for the full album to drop early on in 2015.
