While awards were handed out in 11 categories Sunday night at the 3rd annual K-LOVE Fan Awards, we felt there should have been some additional accolades bestowed on some very deserving recipients. (At the very least, these 10 deserve a Goo-Goo Cluster!) Without further adieu, here are 10 awards we wish had been given out at the 2015 K-LOVE Fan Awards:
Most Creative Performance: Ex-Fan Awards host Patty’s (aka Matthew West’s) brilliant performance of “Day One,” featuring the Grand Ole Opry ushers
Best Dressed: Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s hosting duties were on-point all night in a long, beautiful bright pink strapless gown.
Biggest Surprise: Lauren Daigle’s Worship Song of the Year win for “How Can It Be” (The accolade marks the very first award for Daigle and her label, Centricity Music.)
Best Hosting Bit: 60 seconds of “Growing Pains,” sure to cause severe cases of “Seaver Fever”
Best Selfie: Kirk and Elisabeth facilitating selfies between fans and their favorite artists (pictured: MercyMe with fan)
Best Special Appearance: KB’s surprise vocals during for KING & COUNTRY’s performance of “Run Wild”
Best Beard: David Crowder (three years running!)
Best Hair: Colton Dixon
Favorite New Song Premiere: Sidewalk Prophets’ debut of their new single “Prodigal”
Best Acceptance Speech: for KING & COUNTRY thanking their parents and sister, Rebecca St. James
